• Confirmation calls will be made one to three days prior to the event. If you are expecting a confirmation call and do not receive one at that time please call the Recreation Department at (518)954-2054.

• Payment for pre-paid tickets is due the day of the event unless otherwise specified.

• If sign-up sheets are not returned the activity can not be guaranteed. Please check your calendar to be sure you signed up for everything you wanted. Also be sure to check off all the dances you wish to attend. Reservations are important in the planning process of all dances. Tickets for events are ordered on the due by date after 3:00 pm.

• IF YOU ARE SIGNED UP FOR AN EVENT AND NEED TO CANCEL IT YOU MUST CALL 954-2054 TO CANCEL. IF IT IS AFTER 4:00 ON FRIDAY YOU SHOULD CALL 842-5080 AND HAVE THE FAMILY SUPPORT MANAGER ON CALL PAGED.

• IF YOU SIGN UP FOR EVENTS AND NEED TO CANCEL BUT DO NOT CALL, AFTER THE SECOND TIME, YOU WILL NOT BE GUARANTEED A SPOT IN FURTHER EVENTS.

• Suggestions for events are welcome and feedback is always appreciated.

YMCA Fitness Center (YMCA WILL ONLY BE AVAILABLE TO CHILDREN AGES 16 yrs. and over) • Mondays, August 2, and 9, and Thursdays, August 5, and 12. Place: Amsterdam YMCA. Free. The YMCA group will be going to the YMCA to work out on the machines and keep physically fit.

Special Olympics Softball • Wednesdays, August 4, and 11 • 6:00 pm-8:00 pm. Free. Place: Park Street, Fonda. We will be practicing at for Special Olympics Softball on Wednesday evenings.

***If you are planning to participate in Special Olympics practices, a medical and consent form MUST be filled out and sent back to me. You will not be allowed to practice until this form is returned.

***Liberty does not administer medications during recreation events. If you need medication during the time of an event, other arrangements should be made.***

• Children’s Dance • August 6 • 3:00-8:00 pm; We will be hosting dances and providing dinners at Liberty’s DTC. Transportation is not provided unless arrangements have been made in advance. Pick up time is no later than 8:00pm.

• Zephyrs Football Game • August 21 • 7:30 - 10:30 pm • Lynch Middle School • Free. Come watch the Amsterdam Zephyrs take on the Broome County football team at Lynch Middle School in Amsterdam.

• Big Truck Day • August 7 • 10:00 am - 1:00 pm; Saratoga Children's Museum; $6.00 admission fee and any extra money for lunch, or bring a bagged lunch. Come check out Saratoga’s Big Trucks and see who drive them. Construction trucks, Dump trucks, Emergency Vehicles and more!!

• Picnic at Northampton • August 8 • 10:00 am - 2:00 pm; Northampton Beach. Free. Description: Bring a bagged lunch to eat at the beach. Come enjoy a day at the beach and have a picnic with your friends!http://www.doublemwestern.com/Rodeo/Welcome.htm

• Agency Dance • August 13 • 3:00 pm. Place: DTC Café. Cost: Free. • Transportation will be provided, please indicate on the registration form if you will need transportation to and/or from the dance.

• Bingo • August 5, 12, 19, and 26 • 6:45 pm. Place: Elks Lodge. Cost: $4.00 Description: We will be going to the Elks Lodge in Amsterdam to play Bingo. You may bring extra money for more cards and/or food and drinks.

• Fonda Speedway • August 31 • Time: 6:00 pm. Fonda Speedway. Cost:$12. admission, bring extra money for food/drinks. Description: They will be attending an Open All Division night at the Fonda Speedway.

• Breakfast at Eagle Mills • August 8 • Time: 8:00 am. Place: Eagle Mills. Cost: $7.95. Description: We will be going to Eagle Mills for their Sunday Summer breakfast.

• Zephyrs Football Game • August 14 • Time: 7:30pm-10:30pm. Place: Lynch Middle School Cost: Free Description: Come watch the Amsterdam Zephyrs take on the Watertown Red and Blacks at Lynch Middle School in Amsterdam.

• Saratoga Race Track • August 15 • Time: Noon - 4:00 pm. Place: Saratoga Race Track Cost: $3:00 for admission and extra money for food and any money that you want to gamble with. Description: Come enjoy a nice afternoon out to watch the horses at the harness track at Saratoga.

• The Musical “Annie” at Canajoharie • August 7 • Time: 7:00 pm. Place: Canajoharie High School Auditorium. Cost: Free Description: Come watch the Canajoharie High School Drama Club perform the musical “Annie” on Saturday, August 7.

• Smack Down • August 31 • Time: 6:45 pm. Place: Times Union Center in Albany Cost: $15.00 plus any extra money for food and/or souvenirs. Description: Come watch your favorite WWE Superstars perform at the Times Union Center in Albany on August 31.
