Now, more than ever, we must work together to ensure that the quality of life for people with disabilities is not diminished and that their value as citizens is fully realized.

Every day individuals in Liberty’s programs, with the assistance of Liberty’s dedicated, high quality staff, proudly demonstrate good citizenship throughout Montgomery County.  The valued role that people with disabilities now have in the life of their community is a direct result of the advocacy efforts of parent, family members and friends over the last 50+ years.  We must be vigilant and ready to defend the programs our founding members worked so hard to establish.

• As a member, you will receive the Liberty Advocate, an award-winning newsletter featuring interesting stories about the people, places and happenings that make Liberty’s work so essential.
• Your Liberty membership affiliates you with NYSARC, Inc., a statewide organization comprised of chapters similar to Liberty, which is committed to helping meet the needs of people coping with mental and physical challenges.
• By joining Liberty, you are helping our local chapter maintain representation on NYSARC’s governing body. Liberty’s local delegates are involved in statewide advocacy on behalf of persons with developmental and other intellectual disabilities.
