CAS Information Sessions

The Coordinated Assessment System (CAS) is the comprehensive assessment that OPWDD uses for people 18 years or older to identify their strengths, needs and interests. The CAS provides information used in person-centered planning for the person’s care. Learn more about this important tool and how the CAS Assessment shapes the supports and services for you or your loved one.

People we support, family members, guardians, staff, brokers, and care managers are cordially invited!

Session 2 — April 8 in Amsterdam (47 Liberty Drive, Day Supports Building Cafeteria)

Liberty ARC is hosting two information sessions on the CAS system for families, people we support, and care managers. We’ll learn from CAS expert Tina Chirico, and dinner will be provided to all attendees. Please RSVP today!

Tina Chirico is a sought-after consultant who guides non-profits in the I/DD field through changes in the regulatory landscape. She has worked closely with OPWDD in New York State and many providers in educating and explaining the changes with the move to the CAS system.

“Working with Tina has been transformative for our agency. Tina’s deep understanding of the Coordinated Assessment System (CAS) and OPWDD requirements has allowed us to begin to build framework for staff training, quality oversight and effective use of CAS data in person-centered planning.” – A New York Client
