Liberty Foundation

The Liberty Foundation, a separate 501(c)3 not-for-profit corporation, was established in 1993, by the Liberty ARC Board of Director, to further and fulfill the mission to raise and manage funds for the purpose of supporting a variety of programs to improve the lives of persons with disabilities and their families, particularly individuals with developmental disabilities in Montgomery County. It was established specifically to ensure that vital family support and other services, which are not funded through government programs, are available now and will be here for future generations.

The Foundation assists individuals in maintaining meaningful employment, in the community, by underwriting a portion of transportation costs for those in Liberty ARC’s supported employment program.  The Liberty Foundation funded the creation of the Liberty ARC Computer Technology and Learning Lab, to assist individuals in learning and developing employment and life skills.

In the past couple of years, through our Denim & Diamonds fundraiser, the Liberty Foundation has raised funded to build an innovative Community Sensory Playground as well as a traveling theater system to be used at our facility and in the community.
